Leaving Neverland Film Review
In the “Leaving Neverland” documentary, James Safechuck, and Wade Robson talk about how they were groomed by Michael Jackson
James and Wade were both groomed, abused, and coached to keep everything quiet - as young boys
James, and Wade’s parents were the ones who facilitated the “slumber parties” with Michael
It wasn’t until James had a daughter later in life, that all of that emotion was able to come out
I highly recommend the film:

While watching it, I saw a lot of similarities with how I was raised (minus any kind of sexual abuse)
I was never sexually abused as a child (that I can remember), but for sure, other kinds of abuse, and manipulation
“I’ll never settle down”, “women can’t be trusted”, “you’d be crazy to have children”, “I don’t think I’ll ever get married”, “I’m not sure if I want children”
I remember growing up, thinking these things
As I got older, I started to see other people get engaged, married, and have children - I realized something was wrong
I had similar realizations to James Safechuck, and Wade Robson
I detail the majority of what happened here, here, and here
I later realized I grew up with these perspectives on getting married, and having children, because of how I was treated as a child
Children really are amazing - need to be honored, protected - the children of God
Marriage - binding, an amazing ritual, cultural custom, traced all the way back to ancient times
Women - can give life, child-bearers, raising of children
Men need women, and women need men
Check out the film
Sincerely,
Mike
